'Stop at nothing' is a new book by local author Lucy Martin
It is a chilly Monday evening in South London, and I am on my way by bike to Southside House to photograph the launch of Lucy Martin's new thriller 'Stop at Nothing'.
Lucy is an eclectic and resourceful woman of many hats, from a lawyer, mum of three, French teacher, children's book writer, entrepreneur, school teacher to author of this engaging new thriller.
The launch of a new book
The evening is filled with excitement, with around 50 guests in the most remarkable venue in the area. I had Southside House on my list of places to visit for so many years. So, I really couldn't believe my luck when Lucy asked me to cover this incredible event.
Southside House in Wimbledon Common is an exciting place with an incredible collection of antiques, paintings, silvers, and real fireplaces. A must-visit venue if you are visiting the area.
It is wonderful how interesting my job can be. So many opportunities to meet new people, discover new places and photograph different events.
A book launch in a venue like this is definitely an incredible opportunity. The evening felt surreal and totally magical.
