A French wedding in London

It was fun to photograph this relaxed City, London wedding. An extremely well-organised event by Blandine, the French bride. I first met the couple at the National Wedding Fair in Chiswick. They are both French but decided to get married in London because this is the city where they live and work.

The wedding day

I started to photograph the wedding in Shoreditch, at the most amazing funky place,The Cheeky Parlour. Blandine was having make-up and pampering with her French relatives and friends. The Cheeky Parlour is situated on the first floor of a very typical East London building, the atmosphere was very friendly, apparently, it's 'The hot new place in London to go for instant beauty gratification!'. After hair and makeup, we went back to the luxurious apartment in London that Blandine rented for the occasion. We met with the groom, Thibaud and the rest of the guests at Leadenhall Market for some group photographs before the wedding. The wedding was celebrated in the heart of London at Notre Dame de France, the French Catholic church in Leicester Square. Before heading to Devonshire Terrace for the wedding reception we had the chance to sight seeing London by a Red double-decker bus. The experience at the Devonshire Terrace was enjoyable, full of laughs and French conversations, Champagne, of course, was served endlessly. It was after all a beautiful French wedding in London.
