LYDIA & WILL’S ROMANTIC SUMMER DESTINATION WEDDING IN ITALY

Lydia and Will’s destination wedding takes place in North Italy in the small but very picturesque town of Sequals, Friuli.

Lydia’s father was born here and baptised in the same church where they are getting married, San Nicolo.
I love destination weddings even more if they are in Italy, it’s always a good excuse to go back.
One thing for sure my early years of travelling helped me to learn so many languages, so now with the French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English under my belt I can easily cover events in Europe without any problems.

The wedding day

The day starts at Lydia’s parent’s home in Sequals, where both bride and groom are getting ready. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I am busy working away with the help of my second shooter Anna.

The church

San Nicolo Church in Sequals near Pordenone,  Italy north-east, is small but full of character. To celebrate the wedding an English-speaking Priest based in Venice was called for the occasion.Sequals

Sequals

Sequals is a small town north East of Venice in the region of Friuli, the area is well known for historical Mosaic.
Friuli borders Slovenia and Austria, surrounded by mountains. The landscape is truly impressive.
Despite being so close to the internationally renowned city of Venice this area is quiet, is particularly green and locals are very friendly.

The reception

The reception was in 2 different locations, lunchtime was at Al Giardino restaurant and the evening at Pitars Winery.
From afar this is reminiscent of a castle. The venue with 360-degree views of the surrounding vineyards is spectacular. The guests completely enjoying an evening of live music and good wine.
Lydia and Will after months of hard work to organise their wedding are finally relaxed and enjoying themselves.
