When Lola and Koya started to plan their wedding, they google searched for a London wedding photographer, and I’m so glad they found me. We clicked immediately and after a chat about their wedding plans we decided that the Southbank was going to be the location for their love photo shoot. I can’t emphasis enough how important this time is. I truly believe that this is the best way of getting to know the couple before the big day. After all, it’s the photographer who is going to record the amazing day.
London Southbank Centre
We met at the Southbank Centre, a world-famous arts centre on the South Bank of the Thames. Cristina Pala joined us and did the wonderful make-up for Lola. To begin with the colour scheme for their wedding was purple and green, so I specifically searched for a location that had these two colours. I was incredibly lucky to find the perfect setting in the Southbank area. This is undoubtedly an uplifting part of London where the arts and culture shine through. The end result of this session gave the shots a happy, playful spirit, almost childlike.
Thank you Lola and Koya for the wonderful and fun time together. Ah, I almost forgot to mention, that I was nearly arrested. Apparently, in London you need permission to photograph anything. Next time, I might do an engagement shoot with my iPhone.
